Job Summary

  • Originate home loans secured by residential real estate, 1-4 units.


Essential Duties and Activities

  • Build trusting client relationships

  • Bring a strong and considerate leadership presence and guide clients in their decision making. Avoid a high-pressure approach, and leave clients better than you found them.

  • Be willing to meet clients face to face for communication, product pitches, or general needs. Regularly schedule Top Golf, lunches, or meet ups with A+ Clients and partners.

  • Commit to clear and concise communication, while staying caring and considerate.

  • Diligently utilize Client Relationship Manager (CRM) tools for tracking and maintaining relationships.

  • Commit to diligent client follow up, working with Client Care to maintain relationships.


Success Criteria

In order to ensure great alignment and maximize your success, the Loan Originator will have a 30 day, 60 day, and 90 day check-in with the Sales Lead. At each check-in, you will celebrate wins, reflect and learn from mistakes, and strategize on how you can most effectively reach your KPIs. At 90 days you will also mutually discern ongoing fit and alignment. A few ways we will evaluate that success is through your capacity to:

  • Build your database and receive referrals.

  • Outbound contact activity rate (including but not limited to pop bys, phone calls, and emails)

  • Close rate and active file length.

  • Seamlessly hand off clients to the Processing and Client Care teams.


Experience, Education, and Skills

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to interpret minimal instructions and to work independently with minimal direction or supervision.

  • Fosters positive working relationships with the team, organization, constituents and partners.

  • Successful experience in Loan Origination

  • Handle multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-focused environment.

  • Creative, positive, service-oriented attitude and willingness to learn and contribute.

  • Availability to meet for once a month team meetings and trainings.

  • The strong ability to self-manage

  • High integrity and a client first approach
